Dr. Babbush received his DDS from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry and his Master of Dental Science from Boston University. He completed his oral surgery residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
Robert J. Barry, Ph.D.

Dr. Robert Barry heads the Scientific Affairs, Research and New Product Development of Kaneka Nutrients, L.P., in the United States. Dr. Barry was a Principal Advisor for NIH specializing in the commercial development of biotech start-up companies, their technologies and products. He also co-founded and served as the president of a Massachusetts-based drug development company. Under Dr. Barry's direction, the company identified new lead-drug candidates focusing on unmet clinical needs in several disease areas. Dr. Barry earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Boston College; his Ph.D. in chemistry/biochemistry from the University of Maryland; conducted postdoctoral research in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Harvard Medical School; and was a staff researcher in neuropathology at Harvard Medical School.

Vern S. Cherewatenko, M.D., M.Ed.

Dr. Cherewatenko, M.D., M.Ed., is the founder, Chairman, and CEO of the American Association of Patients and Providers, Inc., a non-profit organization to promote changes in healthcare that focus on wellness and promote patient choice through the SimpleCare Program. He received his MD from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1986 and completed his Family Practice Residency at the University of Washingon Family Practice Residency Program in 1989.

Kevin M. Connolly, Ph.D.

Kevin M. Connolly, Ph.D., is a dietary industry consultant and biochemistry instructor at the University of California, Los Angeles. He received his B.A. from Brown University and Ph.D. in biochemistry from UCLA in 2003, after which he served as the Director of Product Development and Scientific Affairs for Jarrow Formulas from 2005 to 2009. He the author of numerous articles in both peer-reviewed and popular journals, and is an inventor on several medical device and dietary supplement patents. Dr. Connolly is a frequent guest on health-related talk radio programs across the country.
Henry D’Silva, M.D.

Dr. D’Silva graduated from St. Xavier’s College, University of Bombay, India. He was certified by the American Board of Medicine in 1978 and in 1980 by the American Board of Nephrology. Hetrained in Internal Medicine and Nephrology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Albany Medical College and Hershey Medical College. He has also directed the Dialysis Center at St. Mary’s Medical Center and has been a member of Physicians for Social Responsibility, Physicians for National Health Program, and the National Physician Alliance.
Bjonde Eskeland
Bjonde Eskeland, Ph.D.

Dr. Bjodne Eskeland was born and educated in Norway. He received a Master's Degree in Science at the Agricultural University of Norway in 1964. He came to the United States for his graduate studies and completed his Ph.D. in Animal Nutrition at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1971. He has been on staff at Norwegian Food Institute and the Environmental Toxicology Department at the University of Trondheim in Norway. In addition, from 1983-1985, he served as a visiting professor at the University of California, Berkeley, in the Department of Nutrition.

Lisa Kaspin, Ph.D.

Dr. Kaspin received her B.S. in Microbiology from UCLA in 1988 and her MSPH in Nutitional Sciences from the UCLA School of Public Health in 1990. Upon completion of her Master Degree Program, she attended Purdue University, where she obtained her PhD in Biochemistry in 1996. Dr. Kaspin has been the Medical Editor for Cerner Life Sciences, which provides consulting services for clients in the pharmaceutical industry.

Dr. Eamonn Quigley is a Professor of Medicine and Human Physiology and a Prinicipal Investigator at the Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre at the National University of Ireland. He serves as President of the World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO-OMGE) and Vice President of the American College of Gastroenterology. His areas of research include: motility, functional gastrointestinal disease, neurogastroenterology, gastroesophogeal reflux disease, and Probiotics in health and disease. Dr. Quigley graduated in Medicine from the National University of Ireland in 1976 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Western Infirmary and Associated Hospitals in Glasgow, Scotland. This was followed by a two-year research fellowship leading to an MD degree by thesis--at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA.

Dr. Thomas integrates four academic and educational positions at West Virginia University:School of Medicine, Pathology; School of Dentistry, Periodontology; School of Pharmacy, and Graduate School; Department of Microbiology and Cell Biology. He also holds teaching positions at Rutgers University and internationally is a Visiting Professor at Cardiff University, School of Dental Medicine and National University of Singapore, School of Dentistry. In 2008, Dr. Thomas was invited to join the Scientific Advisory Council, ADA, and in 2007, he was awarded the Mountain Award, the highest achievement for University Teaching, recognized by students.
Jon Vanderhoof
Jon A. Vanderhoof, M.D.

Dr. Vanderhoof is a Professor Emeritus of Pediatrics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. From 1976 to 2006, he was the Chief of the joint section of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at the University of Nebraska and Creighton University. He currently is the Vice President for Global Medical Affairs at Mead Johnson Nutritionals and on the staff at Children's Hospital in Boston. Dr. Vanderhoof received his medical degree in 1972 from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, completed a residency in Pediatrics at the University of Nebraska in 1974, and graduated from the fellowship program in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition at the University of California at Los Angeles in 1976.
